Lion Air Message Machine for 60 Airbus Fleet

Lion Air Group announced that it has decided to use the CFM56 - 5B engine from CFM International to power 60 Airbus fleet A320ceo .
The deal is worth more than 1.2 billion U.S. dollars . The booking engine has been announced in March 2013 .
Lion Air Group has been a CFM customer since 2000 and recently took delivery of a Boeing 737 CFM56 - 7B -powered 100.
" Our choice to use the CFM56 - 5B for A320ceo is for us is the right choice , " said Founder and President Director of Lion Group , Rusdi Kirana , Tuesday ( 01/28/2014 ) .
Rusdi explained though a new type of engine as a whole , but the engine is from a company that has been with Lion Air Group since its inception . Lion -party relationship with CFM has grown along with the development of the airline .
" We are confident that this machine will provide a world-class combination of economic efficiency , reliability danwaktu in the wings that will help realize our plans to continue to grow , " said Rusdi .
President CEO of CGM Jean Paul Ebanga explain the latest machinery orders from Lion Air as evidence of good relationships that have been built with the Lion Group .
" We are proud to be part of a team of Lion as they help in defining the type of fleet at affordable cost in this region , " said Ebanga .
All new engines Lion Air Group will be the CFM56 - 5B engine configuration Performance Improvement Package ( Performance Improvement Package / PIP ) . PIP becomes the new production configuration for the CFM56 - 5B in 2011 .
These improvements provide increased by 0.5 percent in fuel burn , include hardware changes ( hardware ) to the center , including the high -pressure turbine blades including the new , as well as manufacturing changes the fan , compressor blades and vanes to improve performance retention .
The machine maintains the same sound as the current production engine and meets the International Civil Aviation Organisation ( ICAO ) , the standard Flight Environment Protection Committee ( the Committee of Aviation Environmental Protection ( CAEP / 6 ) as current needs .
