The
Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative
Economy of tourism promotion by participating in Vakantiebeurs 2014, the
biggest tourism promotion event in the Netherlands . The event was held in the city of Utrecht , 14 to 19 January 2014.
Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy , said Nirwandar , the
Netherlands is one of the important market among other European markets
for the Tourism Indonesia .
" Not only because of the historical ties between Indonesia and the
Netherlands , but an increase in special interest tours are increasingly
popular with Dutch tourists , " he said, who attended the opening
ceremony Vakantiebeurs in Utrecht , Netherlands , Wednesday ( 15/1 ) .
Vakantiebeurs is always held every year officially opened today and was attended by the ambassadors in the Netherlands . Indonesia sent Sapta , Indonesian Ambassador to the Netherlands and
the director general of marketing , the tourism , the Ministry Parekraf .
Indonesia's participation in the 2014 Vakantiebeurs an effort to
increase tourism promotion in order to increase the number of tourists
visiting the Netherlands to Indonesia in 2014 .
Kemparekraf also encourage tourists from the Netherlands to visit the
new tourism destinations in Indonesia more attractive than Bali .
" Strategic places and special interests currently considered very
important in improving the quality and quantity of foreign tourists
coming to Indonesia , " Sapta said .
Seven special interest is explained , among others, were identified in
seven segments namely culture and history , nature and ecotourism ,
recreational sports , cruises , culinary and shopping , health and
fitness , and meetings or conventions ( MICE ) .
Indonesian Ambassador to the Netherlands , Retno Marsudi , adding
Indonesia's participation in this Vakantiebeurs besides an Indonesian
tourism promotion efforts also strengthen diplomatic relations between
Indonesia and the Netherlands .
" I am very excited to support Indonesian tourism promotion in this
Vakantiebeurs event was attended by hundreds of the industry because of a
variety of state and is one of the efforts to strengthen diplomatic
relations between Indonesia and the Netherlands , " said Retno .
Vakantiebeurs held for six days was divided into two segments , namely
trade show or special industrial and consumer day is open to the
general public .
Indonesian Pavilion at Vakantiebeurs reflects Indonesia by combining
traditional and modern elements as well as leading destinations of
interest among the Dutch market .
The
pavilion also displays images of various destinations in South
Kalimantan , Sumbawa , Bali and Borobudur , Prambanan and Ratu Boko in
Central Java . In this event , 16 industries that sell Indonesian tourism package also participated .
Besides
promoting tourism destinations in Indonesia , also presented a wide
variety of Indonesian cuisine ranging from foods that are already
familiar to the tongue Dutch society such as fried rice , satay and
rendang as well as typical menus Indonesia Vakantiebeurs other during
this activity takes place .
